(This course requires access to speed trees African tree library. You will need the following tree packs: Acacia Species Pack, Dracaena Species Pack, Baobab: Field (Madagascar), Banyan: Forest)

In this workshop you will learn how to build an asset library that can be used over and over again for different projects. We will be using Speedtree to export our main tree models (but feel free to use different ones!). In Houdini we then will set up our library and do the layout. This includes the terrain generation, generation of ivy, scattering the trees and creating clouds and fog elements. Shading, lighting and rendering will all be done with the powerful renderer Redshift. To finish off the course we will do the final composite in Nuke.

The main difference between courses and workshops is their duration. Workshops are one time tutorials ranging from minutes up to maybe 10 hours the most.

Courses are longer and spread across multiple weeks. Ranging from minutes up to maybe 5 hours per week. The aim of a course is to go through an entire project from start to finish and cover a wide range of information. These are most suited for those wanting to advance their skills even further.
